Location
The camp is located approx. 225 miles north-east of Oakland in the Sierra foothills at an
elevation of 3400’ off of Highway 70.
The town of
Quincy on Highway 89 is 5 miles away.
Rustic, but civilized, the camp is set among the trees along Spanish Creek.
Lodging includes either cabins or A-frame tents on platforms that are supplied with cots with mattresses or beds with mattresses and shelves.
You supply your own bedding.
Communal restroom buildings have hot showers.
Coin laundry facilities are available.
Tent and cabin assignments are made on a first come-first serve basis.
Three balanced meals each day are served in a common dining hall.
Besides a well stocked salad bar which is enjoyed by eaters of all persuasions, vegetarians will find a delicious menu to choose from.

A Materials List for your class will be provided after you enroll and the class has met a minimum confirmed enrollment.
Often, the supplies you already have will suffice.
In some of the classes materials are provided by the instructor, so material fees are noted in the course description. Materials are provided for the one-time workshops.
These material fees are paid to the instructor directly at the first class meeting.

The Oakland Feather River Camp is managed for the City of Oakland by Camps-In-Common, a non-profit group formed in 2003. Art Camp for adults sublets accommodations from the
Oakland Feather River Camp.
