Chinese Brush Painting from Nature ~ with Karen LeGault

In a centuries old tradition and using bamboo brushes, sumi-ink and watercolor on rice paper, we paint from nature - grasses, flowers, trees, rocks and water. Looking at the inspiration of masters, you will learn many types of brush strokes for various subjects and gain confidence in translating from the natural world onto paper. The experience is meditative, a wonderful way to immerse yourself in both the worlds in you and around you.
Complete beginners are welcome. If you don’t know how to draw this is also a good way to begin to begin to develop your drawing skills. Independent study, critique available for more advanced students.
